THE POWER OF GUERCINO IN ROME

For the lucky tourists who are in Rome in these days of wonderful spring weather, the city offers a lot!
The colors of Rome glistening in the sun…. and the Museums and Artworks around are a continuous call!

One of the shows that will end in April and, therefore, should not be lost, is that dedicated to GUERCINO, one of the foremost leaders of the seventeenth century Italian painting.

Thirty-six works in total which cover the life of the painter from Emilia ( north of Italy), who introduced a new force in the painting of blue skies, with vivid strokes.

The personnel is exposed in Palazzo Barberini.

  1. Exciting news! Thanks for the inspiration. I just checked out the museum’s website, and the show looks spectacular. A few of my favorites will be on exhibit. Speaking of exquisite blue skies, “Et in Arcadia Ego” will be showcased, along with “Olio su tela.” Sigh!! Enjoy the weekend, Theadora
