INDIGNADOS… from the past

History repeats itself …

Yes, if it walking through the center of Rome, near the Palazzo Braschi, then you can  not fail to notice, right corner, the statue of Pasquino.
This finding, dating from the third century BC, which is believed to represent Ajax or Hercules, owes its fame to a custom that took hold in 1500.

Pasquino, it became a symbol of quiet rebellion, accompanied by the irreverent satirical posts, hanging from the neck of the statue, against the abuses of the powerful.

An INDIGNADO of other times…

Unfortunately today, someone put up his messages (among other things, sometimes not very own edification) with the glue to the statue, damaging the travertine.

Well, better waiting for the snow in Rome… yet!
