Lazy walk in Rome:Via dei Giubbonari

When the sky of Rome turns pink at sunset, here we are ready for a walk in the narrow streets of the historic center among ancient lights, religious shrines, and inviting windows shop.

I suggest you start from Piazza Chiesa Nuova, along Via dei Cappellari…

…to Piazza Campo de Fiori…

…and continue along Via dei Giubbonari.

Here you will find many shops and bakeries, many people walking in a delightful atmosphere, and ancient perfumes.

Waiting for the sunset, you can decide where to have a drink…

…maybe continuing to Piazza del Pantheon…

 

Via del Mascherone a Roma

Another great stop in Rome is in  Piazza Farnese.

I suggest you sit in this square towards the 13.00 pm, to enjoy the warm rays fall, and  maybe you may eat a piece of “hot pizza bianca“, freshly baked from the famous FORNO (Bakery) in Campo de Fiori, right behind you!

Then continue along Via del Mascherone …

 

Look at the building, which was purchased in the eighteenth century the Papal States, it became the seat of the Religious Mary Immaculate ….
A curiosity, as you are walking, look on the ground at the white line that runs along the sides of the building, if you walk inside you are in the territory of the Pontifical State!

I recommend always nose up … and all around …

Continuing this brief and quiet streets, you will come to the Fountain of  Mascherone in Via Giulia.

But often the beauty is above our heads …

 

 

CASTEL S. ANGELO – ROMA

Today, a beautiful cold sunny day ….
a nice walk will open your heart …

Right on the promenade leading from the “Palazzaccio”, the Palace of Justice in Rome, to the Basilica of St. Peter.

It ‘a pedestrian area, very pleasant, overlooking the Tiber and the statues of the “Angels” of the Bridge Sant’Angelo, will accompany you in front of the entrance to Castel S. Angelo.

This monument is home to the National Museum, Archaeological site, fortress and prison, but also a Papal residence, rich in artistic episodes of great importance.

I suggest, indeed, a visit …
