Baroque and Renaissance…

by Lost in Town

The rainy day in Rome does not promise a pleasant stroll.
You can definitely lose yourself in the romantic Rome and head to the Imperial Forum.

Before arriving at the destination, however, I recommend a stop at the Chiesa del Gesù, an important example of mixing as between Baroque and Renaissance.

The Church has single dominant t nave that focuses the attention on the altar and the dome is beautifully painted with an unusual three-dimensional effect.
